'Eternal Purpose of God' Study
The goal of the 'Eternal Purpose of God' study series is to provide readers with a panoramic overview of Scripture, revealing its true integrity and highlighting one of its most rewarding, fascinating and foundational insights: the eternal purpose of God.
These studies examine the significance of covenant and how it affects our comprehension of the biblical narrative when covenant forms a primary paradigm through which scripture is read.
Six studies take the reader through an introduction to covenant, an examination of the nature of covenant, a detailed look at the messianic new covenant, Pentecost and the integration of gentiles into the formerly all-Jewish covenant community and finally, the implications of such a reading of scripture for beginning to understand the vocation—the calling to service—of the messianic, new-covenant community, in particular, in terms of its being blessed...to be a blessing to all the families of the earth.
This introduction incorporates a useful glossary of terms that are used throughout the various studies and a select bibliography.
These six studies as a whole are incorporated into the EPI books.
