'The Eternal Purpose of God' Book
For Christians the Bible is typically read as an act of worship, in order to better know and understand their Christian faith, allowing God to speak personally to them through its words. Such an appreciation has made the Bible the best-selling and most widely-read book ever.
"The Eternal Purpose of God" deepens such understanding and appreciation by providing readers with a “big picture” overview of the Bible, revealing the true integrity of Scripture and highlighting one of its most rewarding, fascinating and foundational insights—the eternal purpose of God.
It does this by carefully setting out a unique overview of the whole biblical narrative, enabling readers to understand the significance of the Bible’s various components and simplifying hard-to-understand elements, in order make a comprehensive understanding—a panoramic “big picture” overview—easy to grasp.
To achieve this, it incorporates elements of Hebraic thought within a biblical theology of covenant, creation and community, exploring the vitality of these epic themes to new covenant life and testimony, guiding the reader towards an appreciation of God's unchanging eternal purpose:
The Eternal Purpose of God — to author a covenant community, blessed to be a blessing to all the families of the earth, with one unchanging purpose: that people from every tribe, language, people and nation might become reconciled to God and his purposes — a sign and foretaste of creation's ultimate renewal...
The book is published in two parts as a prototype or sample of the type of books that EPI is planning publication of within Burkina Faso, in Francophone format. The intention is to make reproduction of the books low-tech and low-cost, so that churches, ministries and educational institutions can sustainably publish as many books as they need, using a free-of-charge licence.
This initial publication will be used to raise awareness of and funds for this African publishing project. Your support for the project would be welcome: by purchasing a set of these two books for £10, including postage, you can help us to pay for the first tranche of translated books.
To request a copy of the books, please use the 'Buy Now' button in the margin.
